I uncovered the bullshit of society during my senior year of high school, and it changed my life forever.

Until then, I lived with the same beliefs that 99% of people have.

When you graduate high school, you have to go to college.

Even if it's not "forced upon you," it sure as hell feels like it.

I lived with this belief until I came across a Youtube video that revolutionized how I see my life forever.

A young guy showed how he makes millions of dollars running an online business.

I couldn't believe it.

Every part of me was like there's no way this is true like no one can start their own business till they're forty.

After that moment, I became obsessed with online business. I would watch hours of Youtube videos on online business.

I became obsessed and spent all my time learning about it.

My obsession was so intense I knew what it was what I wanted to do as a career.

So I quit college on the first day it started.

That video and many more like it changed my life and opened my eyes to a life I didn't know existed.

I knew I would rather learn and build a business independently than listen to lectures about it for four years.

Fast forward almost a year, and I can say with complete certainty it was one of the best decisions I've ever made.

Uncovering this newfound path in life has made me the happiest and most motivated I've ever been.

I tell you this story because I was able to build awareness of a life no one ever talks about, and you can too.

Why spend your entire life working for someone else when you can be your own boss living your chosen life?

Online business unlocks your freedom to live on your terms.

Escape before you are consumed

The typical 9-5 is great for one thing- complacency.

That hourly wage can make you feel good, knowing you make enough money to pay the bills and save some money.

But what else is the typical 9-5 great for?

Modern-day slavery.

Sounds extreme, I know but think of your job from this perspective.

Your employer controls you.

When you get paid, they decide.

When you get a raise, they decide.

How many vacation and sick days you get, they decide.

When you're fired or promoted, they decide.

The reality is the fate of your financial life sits in the hand of your employer. Hoping each day they don't get sick of your ass and fire you.

Your 9-5 will never bring you the true freedom you want because you only make money if you show up.

And if you don't make money, you can't survive.

You don't have the freedom to travel the world, live how you want to live, or even not have to worry about the price of gas.

Life's too short to live this way, but luckily we live in a time of opportunity, unlike anything we've ever seen.

While the news talks about high-interest rates and a potential recession. We have an untapped opportunity to create an online business with four simple things:

The right mindset, a computer, wifi, and the dedication required.

(And no, I'm not discrediting the hard times we are all experiencing. But, what I am saying is that you can create your way out if you take the time to see if it's possible)

With these four things, you can change the entire course of your life in a year. Many people have done it, and I know you can too.

Become reliant on no one

You can live a life dependent on no one, working wherever the hell you want and doing what you love.

These are some of the benefits an online business can bring you.

An online business can give you the life you choose because you build self-reliance.

When you make an income for yourself, you no longer depend on an hourly wage and the responsibility to work for someone else.

You can experience freedoms the typical job will never. You can experience everything the world offers and not be limited to whether your boss says yes.

People make $1 million a year operating their businesses from the comfort of their homes.

They are no longer chained to a job and can do what they want.

I know it's possible, so I show up daily, working to achieve this level of freedom.

All it takes is the will to go out there and make it happen.

Plus, most of these successful people aren't more intelligent than you.

They were aware of an opportunity and became obsessed with taking action. Leading them to success we as a society deem "luck."

Suppose you can input the factors needed (time, effort, learning, building, etc.). You can create and scale a business making you money and giving you freedom.

Life is not to be working 50 weeks a year at a job you hate for an hourly wage for you to survive by a thread. Life should be enjoyable, spending time doing the things you love with the people around you.

How to start an online business

Starting your first online business can be challenging. Something I struggled with for months.

I was terrible about filling my mind with excuses for not starting and procrastinating.

Limiting beliefs as a whole can be quick to fill your mind. I became overwhelmed with all the what-ifs about starting.

But, if you want to start and scale your own business, you have to push past these beliefs.

Listed below are six simple steps to starting your first online business.

Keep things simple, and don't hesitate to take the first step.

You hold the power to change your life.

I hold complete certainty you can make it happen.

1. Awareness.

The entirety of this newsletter focuses on step one.

To build your awareness and outline the importance of creating an online business.

If you are unaware of a path available, you will stay on the easiest one (whatever keeps you complacent).

Use Youtube and Google to find others who have started an online business.

Their perspective will show you the possibilities an online business brings.

If you can show yourself it's possible, taking the following steps will be easier.

2. Educational Content.

Once you have built an awareness of the possibilities, you begin deep diving into how to start your online business and the different options.

The most effective way is to:

1. Research different business models.

2. Find one that sparks your interest.

3. Learn how to start your own and the requirements.

4. Listen to people who have seen success to gain ideas on how to do it yourself.

5. Take notes on dos and don'ts.

6. Find books, podcasts, creators, and blogs about business. They will help you gain a deeper understanding of it.

When you find the one you are interested in, focus entirely on learning everything about it.

Don't try to balance a bunch at one time. It is the easiest way to cause scatterbrain and burnout.

There will never be the perfect one to start. Pick one and move on.

3. Begin Building.

Here might be one of the most critical parts, TAKE ACTION AND DO NOT GET STUCK ONLY LEARNING.

Learning about online business is good. But you will only see results once you take action on this business.

95% of people get stuck here because it's easy to feel like you're doing something by learning. But the reality is that it's hurting your progress.

Find the business, learn about it, and immediately use the information you've gained.

Put in work every day to keep moving forward. Every day you don't do anything is that much progress lost.

You'll never know everything you need. Find the foundation and start there.

4. Layout a routine.

Create a plan on how you plan to work on your business every week.

I use Google Calendar and write when I work at my job.

Any time I have after, I set aside for business work.

At the very least, find 10 hours a week to work.

It doesn't matter if you have to get up an hour earlier or stay up an hour later. Hell, you might have to do both.

Get work done daily.

Building a business doesn't come from when you feel like it; you commit to it every day.

5. Reflect and Reiterate.

Give yourself six months to establish a foundation.

Once you hit this mark, reflect on the progress you've made.

When reflecting, you find the things that have and haven't been working.

Anywhere you need more skills and knowledge.

What tasks keep you moving forward?

And where you're at as a whole.

When reiterating, you are removing everything that is not working.

The time-filler activities that don't help you and doubling down on what is showing progress.

And see where your time is most valuable.

Reflection and reiteration show you what's giving you results and what isn't.

Cut what hurts, and do what works.

6. Play the long game.

In most cases, building an online business will take 1-2 years before you can leave your job.

It's a long time, but nothing extraordinary in this life comes fast.

Stick to it for the long run, and don't expect to make $10k per month when you are four months in.

I fell into this trap when I started, and it took me over six months to realize it.

I trapped myself in the "get rich quick schemes," and I saw no tangible progress by the end.

All I had was the realization if I wanted to see any results, I had to commit myself to doing it for a long time.

Building a business requires:

• Learning daily

• Building a portfolio of valuable resources

• Gaining skills

• Finding new connections

• Working your ass off.

You will gain freedom and self-reliance if you show up daily and work regardless of how you feel or the results.

Final words

It doesn't matter who you are. You hold the capability of creating your online business and gaining your freedom.

It takes time and sacrifice, but if you don't do it, you will spend your life stuck in a job chaining you down.

Even if it takes you five years from start to quitting your job, that is a lot less time than 40-50 years working at a job you despise.

You have what it takes, and I know you do. You have to believe that as well.

It's going to be hard and take a lot of perseverance. But, if you can commit to it, you will enjoy a life your job will never allow you to live.

My most significant objectives are building an online business and the life I want. That's what I talk about in this newsletter.

Everything I learn I'm sharing with you with the hope it can bring value to your life.
